About

The short version

I'm a technologist. I work with some of the top engineers in the world. What I do is set the vision for how an organization can use technology to build its business, and today that means AI-led engineering and transformation. The common thread, from PC to cloud to AI, is using technology to grow and scale businesses, and to break into new areas.

I'm an operator. I've been part of building startups, global practices and partner businesses, and I've been inside exits at Iteration2 and GlobalLogic. Most of that work happened right where a new technology meets a customer who needs it to pay off, and that experience adds to the AI work I do today. I've led teams across the US, India, EMEA, Japan and Ukraine, including global development centers in India, Europe and Southeast Asia, and I've learned a lot more from them than I ever taught them. Building product engineering teams, and building products with them, is the work I love most.

Iteration2 was where I learned to build from zero. As a founding member, I helped grow it, as it became Hitachi Solutions, from $0 to about $500M in revenue. I started and grew GlobalLogic's hyperscaler business, Microsoft first and then Google and AWS. I joined GlobalLogic in 2018, after Partners Group bought Apax's stake alongside the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in a deal that put the company at over $2B. Then came Hitachi's $9.6B acquisition of GlobalLogic (2021), an almost 5X return for investors, and I was included as one of the top executives, as put in the post-merger integration plans to Hitachi. At the time of the deal we had more than 20,000 professionals and expected about $1.2B in revenue for 2021. By 2022 we had grown to 28,000 people, averaging 25% growth a year and heading for a $1.6B revenue run rate by the end of FY22. I like to say Hitachi liked me so much they bought me twice: first with Iteration2 in 2007, and again with GlobalLogic in 2021. That earlier experience gives me unique insights into Hitachi. In 2022, when our Ukraine-based colleagues had to relocate, my job was simple to say and hard to do: keep people safe and keep our promises to clients.

Today I'm an Owner at RSM US LLP, focused on AI-led engineering and transformation. Along the way I've served on Microsoft Partner Advisory Councils (invitation-only), and I hold an MBA from USC Marshall and a B.S. in Economics from Cal Poly Pomona, with a minor in computer information sciences.

If you spend five minutes with me, I hope you leave knowing I'm someone you can trust. I'm a follower of Christ, and my faith shapes how I lead. Family comes first.

Where I am today

Owner at RSM US LLP

I'm an Owner at RSM US LLP, focused on AI-led engineering and transformation. I help leadership teams figure out where AI and agents really fit, how to build the team that delivers it, and how to grow alongside the big cloud platforms without getting swallowed by them.

Timeline

Want the whole story in order?

My timeline walks from Systematic (later Spectria) in 1998 through FieldCentrix, Iteration2, Hitachi, PwC and GlobalLogic to the AI-led engineering and transformation work I do today as an Owner at RSM US LLP. Each chapter adds to that work. Early on, at Systematic, I helped develop partnerships with Sun Microsystems and IBM. At GlobalLogic we also built an Azure Marketplace offering, the Intelligent Spaces Solution.
